Connecteam pricing looks simple on the surface: one flat fee covers your first 30 users. The catch is that the flat fee is per hub, there are three hubs, and the features you probably want (a geofence, more than one time clock, more than one schedule) sit above the entry tier. This guide lays out every Connecteam plan as published on connecteam.com, works out the real monthly bill for a team of 30, 50 and 100 hourly staff, and puts it next to Homebase and ClockOut so you can see where each one is the better buy. All Connecteam and Homebase numbers were checked September 5, 2026.
Connecteam pricing in 2026, plan by plan
Connecteam sells three hubs: Operations (time clock, scheduling, forms, tasks), Communications (chat, updates, directory, surveys) and HR & Skills(training, documents, recognition, time off). Each hub has the same three paid tiers, Basic, Advanced and Expert, plus a custom Enterprise tier. You pick a tier per hub and pay for each hub you turn on. The prices below are for the Operations hub, which is the one a time-clock buyer cares about, with the yearly-billing figure first because that is the default toggle on their pricing page.
| Small Business (free) | Basic | Advanced | Expert | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly fee, billed yearly | $0 | $29 | $49 | $99 |
| Monthly fee, billed monthly | $0 | $35 | $59 | $119 |

| Each extra user (Operations hub) | Not available | $0.80 yearly / $1.00 monthly | $2.50 yearly / $3.00 monthly | $4.20 yearly / $5.00 monthly |
| Each extra user (Communications or HR hub) | Not available | $0.50 yearly / $0.60 monthly | $1.50 yearly / $1.80 monthly | $3.00 yearly / $3.60 monthly |

Source: connecteam.com/pricing, checked September 5, 2026, and confirmed against a third-party review updated August 2026. Cells marked “Not listed” are things the pricing page did not spell out for that tier, so treat them as unverified rather than absent. Connecteam changes packaging often, so re-check before you sign. The Enterprise tier is custom priced and is not in the table.
How the per-user fee works
The flat fee covers up to 30 users. User 31 onward is billed at the extra-user rate for that hub and tier, every month. So a 50-person team on Operations Advanced, billed yearly, pays $49 for the first 30 plus 20 × $2.50, which is $99 a month. The same team on monthly billing pays $59 plus 20 × $3.00, which is $119. Yearly billing saves about 18% according to the toggle on their page.
What it costs at 30, 50 and 100 people
Here is the Operations hub worked out at three common team sizes. Connecteam cells show the yearly-billing price first and the monthly price after it. ClockOut cells are the standard monthly price; annual billing on ClockOut saves 20% on top of these.

Connecteam figures are computed from the published rule (flat fee for the first 30 users, then the Operations hub per-user rate) as checked September 5, 2026. ClockOut: Starter is $19 a month for up to 5 active accounts, then $3 each; Pro is $39 for up to 5, then $6 each.
Read the table plainly: if you only ever need the Operations hub, Connecteam is cheaper than ClockOut at every headcount here. Basic is very cheap, but it has no geofence, so a team that wants to stop off-site clock-ins is really choosing between Advanced and Expert. Against Advanced, ClockOut Starter costs about $45 more a month at 30 people and about $80 more at 100. Against Expert, ClockOut Starter is roughly the same at 30 people and cheaper at 50 and 100.
Where Connecteam earns its price
Connecteam is a genuinely broad product and there are teams for which nothing on the shortlist replaces it. Be honest about whether you are one of them.
- Forms and checklists. Unlimited checklists, forms and tasks are in the Basic tier. Opening and closing checklists, vehicle inspections, incident reports, all filled in on a phone with a timestamp. ClockOut does not have a forms builder.
- Training and knowledge base. The HR & Skills hub carries courses, quizzes and a document library. If you onboard a rotating frontline workforce, that is a real tool you would otherwise buy separately.
- The Communications hub. Chat, company updates, a directory and surveys that reach people who do not have a company email. For a deskless team of 60 with no Slack, this is often the reason they buy.
- The free plan is generous. Ten users free for life, with one time clock and one schedule, is a bigger free tier than most competitors. ClockOut’s free plan stops at 2 people.
- Larger organisations. The per-user fee above 30 users is low, especially on Basic, and the Enterprise tier exists for multi-hundred-person rollouts with an account manager. A 300-person company will find Connecteam cheaper than almost any per-seat tool.
If you will actually cancel a WhatsApp group, a paper checklist binder and an onboarding folder when you switch on Connecteam, the bundle is worth the money. Our Connecteam vs When I Work comparison goes deeper on that trade.
Where ClockOut is the better fit
ClockOut is built for a narrower job: get accurate hours from hourly staff, publish the schedule, approve the timesheets and hand clean numbers to payroll. If that is most of what you need, it is the simpler buy.
- One predictable bill. Starter is $19 a month for up to 5 active accounts, then $3 per person. Pro is $39 for up to 5, then $6 per person. There are no hubs to stack and no tier where a basic feature suddenly appears. A 14-day free trial covers either plan and annual billing saves 20%.
- The whole punch toolkit is on Starter. Geofence, kiosk with PIN or QR, punch limiting, schedules, PTO, approvals, an exception inbox for late arrivals and missed clock-outs, groups, job codes, chat and announcements. On Connecteam, the geofence alone moves you from Basic to Advanced.
- Payroll is a workflow, not an integration. Pro runs payroll periods with lock and export files for ADP, Gusto, QuickBooks, Xero and Sage, plus a compliance pack for break and overtime rules.
- Punch controls for teams that need them. Pro adds device and IP locks, photo proof on the punch, scoped roles, multiple locations, skills and certifications and an API.
What ClockOut does not do, so you are not surprised later:
- No forms or checklists builder, no training or LMS module.
- No document management beyond attaching files to tasks.
- No Slack or Zapier integrations, and no EVV for home care.

Homebase vs Connecteam vs ClockOut at a glance
Homebase is the third name that comes up in this search, because it is the default time clock for single-location shops and restaurants. Its prices below are from joinhomebase.com/pricing, checked September 5, 2026. We did not verify which Homebase features sit on which tier, so those rows say so.
| Connecteam | Homebase | ClockOut | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pricing unit | Flat fee per hub for 30 users, then per user | Flat fee per location, unlimited employees | Base fee for 5 people, then per person |
| Free plan | Up to 10 users | 1 location, up to 10 employees | Up to 2 people, forever |
| Entry paid price | $29/mo yearly, $35 monthly (one hub) | Essentials $24/location/mo yearly, $30 monthly | Starter $19/mo for up to 5 |
| Top standard tier | Expert $99/mo yearly, $119 monthly (one hub) | All-in-One $96/location/mo yearly, $120 monthly | Pro $39/mo for up to 5 |
| 30 people, one location | $49 to $99 (Advanced to Expert, yearly) | $24 to $96 (any tier, yearly) | $94 Starter, $189 Pro |
| 30 people, three locations | Same as above (not per location) | $72 to $288 (three location fees) | $94 Starter, $189 Pro (multi-location on Pro) |
| Payroll | Integrations | Add-on: $39/mo + $6 per employee paid | Pro: runs and exports to ADP, Gusto, QuickBooks, Xero, Sage |
| Geofence tier | Advanced and up | Not verified | Starter and up |
| Best at | Chat, forms, training for deskless teams | One busy store with hiring and scheduling | Clock-in, schedules, approvals, payroll export |
The pattern is easy to see once the unit is clear. Homebase is cheapest for one busy location with lots of staff and gets expensive per site. Connecteam is cheapest per head at scale on a single hub and gets expensive per hub. ClockOut is a straight line that does not care how many locations or hubs you have, which makes it the simplest to budget for a 20 to 100 person team.
